Walking and hiking in Pembrokeshire

Stacks Image 420

Suggestions of what to bring for walking on the Pembrokeshire coastal path:

good walking shoes or boots
all weather trousers and jacket (just in case)
spare socks
small haversack
money change if you use the bus hopper
wet wipes and tissues
small supply of plasters (some areas are rocky or prickly and can cause small cuts etc)

Our packed lunches will be provided in a small haversack.

We request our walking guests to remove their outerwear before moving to carpeted areas - bring some house shoes or slippers - thanks
As regular walkers ourselves, we appreciate the needs of walkers and hikers.

Pembrokeshire has some outstanding walks from easy to difficult levels. You will see some stunning views on your tour of Pembrokeshire and return home with some happy memories.

Rainbows End welcomes you for a comfortable stay. After being out in the Pembrokeshire air - you will sleep soundly!

Our accommodation is very comfortable. We provide all you need for an energising break. You will have a hearty breakfast before leaving in the morning and a packed lunch is prepared if you want to order it. On a Sunday evening, we put on a fabulous roast dinner (extra charge).

We have drying areas for your clothes (hopefully it won't rain) and ask our walking guests to remove their outerwear before heading up to your rooms or into the lounge and dining room.

Pembrokeshire has a hopper bus service that will pick up and drop off at points of interest for walkers. Also we can provide a drop off a few (or more) miles away so that you can walk back to Rainbows End in Tenby.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Take a look at the link above, this will give you lots of information about our National Park and how you can get from A to B and back again. To search for a walk and view the map, have a look here.

I have also placed some
pictures of lovely places to see in Pembrokeshire

We also have an information centre (about 2 minutes walk from Rainbows End) that supplies information sheets for each phase of the coast path - all 186 miles of it.

You can also ask Jayne or Paul for information as they were both born in Pembrokeshire
